This document defines what World Foundation Design intentionally does not aim to do.
This Design Does Not Aim To
Section titled “This Design Does Not Aim To”- Replace states by force
- Overthrow governments
- Become a single ruling organization
- Build a closed community or cult-like structure
- Force participation or block exit
- Evade tax, labor, payment, or financial regulations
- Use illegal wage substitutes or pseudo-currency schemes
- Militarize or encourage private punishment
- Center the design around a founder, maintainer, or single name
- Use welfare or life access as a tool of obedience
- Fix human worth through reputation scores
- Use transparency as an excuse for surveillance
- Create a private legal system that illegally replaces state law
- Become a police replacement, security force, or vigilante structure
- Become a world government or central federation authority
- Give founders or early maintainers permanent authority
- Use federation standards or shared protocols for lock-in
Why Non-goals Matter
Section titled “Why Non-goals Matter”This repository discusses states, economy, welfare, reputation, arbitration, and infrastructure. Those topics can be misunderstood or misused.
Non-goals define safety boundaries and help reviewers reject changes that move the design toward coercion, domination, legal evasion, or cult-like structures.
Change Process
Section titled “Change Process”Changes that remove or weaken Non-goals require a Proposal and should be recorded as a Decision.
